Job Description:

The Department of Health Sciences at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for an adjunct (part-time) instructor or lecturer position to begin in Fall 2019 or Spring 2020. We are seeking an adjunct faculty to teach courses in pathophysiology, nutrition, epidemiology, pharmacology, preventive medicine, health science research methods, or other health science courses. Some of these courses are taught face-to-face in the classroom and other courses are offered online. 

The Department of Health Sciences is located in the College of Health Professions and Sciences, part of the Academic Health Sciences Center at UCF. Health Sciences is the second largest major at the university. Currently there are over 3,800 students in the major and over 450 students in the minor. Minimum Qualifications:

For instructor, an earned master’s degree in a Health Sciences related discipline from an accredited institution.

For lecturer, a doctoral degree in a Health Sciences related discipline from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

An academic doctoral degree in a Health Sciences related discipline from an accredited institution that is appropriate to the course being taught; experience teaching within a university setting (specifically pathophysiology, nutrition, epidemiology, pharmacology, preventive medicine, health science research methods, or other health science courses); and those with evidence of continuous professional development and available locally in Central Florida.
