Job Description:

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) is seeking to fill a full-time lecturer position. The lecturer will primarily be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in mechanical systems or aerospace engineering. Also expected to conduct research in engineering education and develop new teaching methodologies. Brief descriptions of courses in these areas can be found at www.mae.ucf.edu.


The MAE department offers B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degree programs. The BSAE and BSME programs are ABET-accredited. MAE is home to 44 full-time faculty members, several adjuncts, and the Center for Advanced Turbines and Energy Research (CATER). The reputation of the department is continually growing with numerous faculty achievements  including NSF CAREER awards, an ONR Young Investigator Award, and fellowships in professional  societies.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Ph.D. from an accredited institution in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field by the time of the appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Industry experience;

-Teaching experience at the university or college level.
