Job Description:

This position has the total responsibility of providing excellent customer service to prospective students, families, and other constituents via telephone and e-mail.

This position will also perform the following duties:

  • Assist callers with general information and answer specific questions, including admission policies, application deadlines, and completeness of application, assign prospective students EMPL ID, direct students and parents to appropriate staff member for additional assistance.
  • Ability to accurately communicate information to internal and external customers in a professional manner.
  • Thorough knowledge of PeopleSoft System and Viewstar.
  • Knowledge of admission policies and requirements.
  • Ability to adapt to change as university and departmental policies and procedures change.
  • Other duties as assigned including, but not limited to, data entry, participating in Open House events.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM 5:00 PM- Occasional nights, Saturdays and Open House events required.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent and 0+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a telephone-based customer servicing position.
  • Ability to accurately communicate information to internal and external customers over the telephone in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Basic computer knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changes in university and departmental procedures and policies.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work appropriately and independently on a daily basis.
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment.
