Job Description:

The Academic Support Coordinator I will be responsible for supporting graduate admissions and recruitment in the Executive Master of Health Administration (e-MHA) program, as well as communications and promotion of our department's community involvement and research, engaging with students, community partners, alumni and advisory board members to increase the awareness of the department and college. The e-MHA program is located on the UCF Downtown Campus in the Department of Health Management & Informatics.

The roles and responsibilities of our Academic Support Coordinator will be:

  • Responsible for facilitating the admissions process and recruitment for the graduate e-MHA program. Serve as the key point person responsible for coordinating and facilitating the admission process, including recruitment, application review, and orientation for the graduate eMHA program.

  • Responsible for the overall communications and promotion of all department programs, faculty, students, and staff. To include interviewing, writing, editing, and promoting news stories, updates, and general information.

  • Oversee all social media for the department - conceptualize and execute social marketing strategies; write content and publish on social media accounts.

  • Coordinate with the department chair, program directors, and faculty to promote faculty research, highlight faculty and alumni achievements, and create department awareness. Conducting interviews, online research, etc.

  • Responsible for facilitating departmental and program webinars and recruiting guest speakers, faculty, staff, students, alumni, etc.

  • Create, write, format, and publish all electronic and print newsletters, articles, announcements, marketing publications following the AP stylebook.

  • Oversee communications and marketing projects for all programs as well as the department. Assist with program and department marketing and recruitment efforts.

  • Collaborate with college web editor on website updates and changes. Work with CCIE Office of Communications and alumni relations to communicate with the School's alumni. Serve on departmental and college committees to engage interdepartmental college interdepartmental collaborations.

Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Expected Salary:

$42,367 to Negotiable

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of experience working in a marketing or communications role.

  • At least one year of experience working with program admissions and accreditation at a higher education institution.

  • Creativity and writing skills.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills.

  • Extensive knowledge of social media and emerging communication platforms, including gathering and editing video.

  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects with attention to detail.

  • Proactive approach to role.

  • Self-motivation and the ability to meet critical deadlines.

  • Ability to adapt to emerging technologies.

  • Able to prioritize multiple demands and be deadline-driven.
