Job Description:

The Department of Educational Leadership and Higher Education (ELHE) in the College of Community Innovation and Education (CCIE) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) is seeking an innovative and energetic professional to join the faculty as a lecturer in the Career and Technical Education program. Located on the Orlando campus, this position is a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure earning appointment with benefits.

 

Primary responsibility will be teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in the Career and Technical Education programs.

 

Additional duties include conducting student advisement, assisting the academic program coordinator with online course maintenance, and engaging in other program-related activities. The selected candidate will also engage in service to the department, college, and university.

Minimum Qualifications:

An earned doctoral degree in Career and Technical Education or a closely related field from an accredited institution by time of hire and at least two years of teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Evidence of effective university teaching in Career and Technical Education, i.e. student evaluations, classroom observations, or other documentation. 

 

Experience with student mentoring and advisement. 

 

Experience teaching in a distant learning management system (LMS), preferably Canvas.
