Job Description:

The Academic Program Coordinator I will perform duties involved in supporting the UCF Daytona Traditional BSN program, students, and faculty by working with the Undergraduate Student Services Team within the College of Nursing. This position will also provide administrative office support and manage the functions and operations for the College of Nursing, Daytona campus.

Administrative duties:

  • Provide clerical support such as word processing, filing, copying, scanning, and faxing.
  • Maintain professional discretion and confidentiality as it relates to student records.
  • Assist faculty with office, classroom, and organizational needs.
  • Assist faculty with book orders and office hour schedules.
  • Maintain inventory and prepare requests for office supplies and equipment.
  • Request equipment repairs as necessary.
  • Coordinate room reservations.
  • Coordinate document disposition.
  • Prepare and submit faculty travel requisitions and travel reimbursements.
  • Run scantron exams and proctor exams for faculty.
  • Work with clinical partners to ensure all credentials are in place and College of Nursing is in compliance with all clinical and health requirements.
  • Administrator for CastleBranch database.
  • Manage evaluation materials using LEAP*RN.
  • Maintain member list for clinical consortium for area institutions and coordinate meetings and minutes.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for students and faculty in UCF Daytona College of Nursing.
  • Answer general questions regarding UCF and the UCF Nursing Program.
  • Provide phone coverage; screen and direct calls to appropriate faculty/departments.

BSN Program Administration:

  • Enter, maintain, and update plans of study for all new students in LEAP*RN.
  • Complete enrollment verification each semester.
  • Assign student permission for registration.
  • Maintain and process transient requests.
  • Coordinate information flow between UCF CON and UCF Connect.
  • Maintain accurate student files and spreadsheets.
  • Maintain email listserv and communicate announcements to UCF Daytona College of Nursing students.
  • Track student clinical requirements and monitor holds for required documents.


  • Assist with and/or present during Nursing information sessions held on Daytona campus.
  • Coordinate advisory board meetings and keep a list of current members.
  • Coordinate UCF Traditional BSN Meet & Greet and Orientation at Daytona Campus.
  • Notify students about upcoming events, outstanding items, and course updates.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Expected Salary:

$36,841 to Negotiable

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in teams in collaborative settings, as well as the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage several projects at one time; comfortable interacting heavily with students, faculty, and other UCF departments.
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft and FERPA regulations.
  • Experience working with online and non-traditional students.
