Job Description:

Reporting to the Deputy Athletic Director / Assistant VP for UCF Advancement, the Assistant Athletics Director for Championship Resources and Major Gifts develops and implements yearly strategic fundraising plans for each assignment.  This position manages a portfolio of major and principal gift prospects ($25,000 +), and conducts appropriate identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities for major gifts, primarily for UCF Athletics. 

  • Assists with the strategic development, execution, and management of major gift action plans toward the achievement of Advancement goals and objectives in accordance with NCAA, IRS, UCFAA and UCF Foundation rules and regulations. Includes market research, volunteer recruitment, effective communication and solicitation activities, and cultivation/retention programs.
  • Manages comprehensive solicitation strategies and portfolio of prospects, including personal solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship of gifts.
  • Secures, plans, and engages in face-to-face donor visits.
  • Focuses on building new charitable giving relationships.
  • Assists with the development and coordination of a progressive communications and solicitations program to donors and prospects through direct mail, targeted appeals, e-information/e-solicitation, automated telephone solicitations/telethons, website management, and publications collateral.
  • Helps to facilitate coordination of premium seating for donors.
  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of the UCF Athletics, programs and priorities.
  • Prepares and directs preparation of major proposals, solicitation letters and other cultivation materials for prospects and donors.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.

Should be cooperative and communicate effectively with a variety of people. Requires high level of interpersonal and organizational skills. Involves some team travel, and evening and weekend work.
