Job Description:

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Central Florida (UCF) is seeking outstanding candidates for two (2) non-tenure-earning instructor or lecturer positions to teach computer science (CS) and information technology (IT) courses. These are nine-month positions. A supplemental summer appointment may be made following an assessment of performance and the teaching needs of the program. The responsibilities include teaching a full-time academic load, consisting of seven courses per academic year. The courses may include a variety of topics in the undergraduate CS and IT programs. Other responsibilities include holding office hours, conducting required academic performance assessments, and development of instructional content for course enhancement.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Ph.D. (for lecturer) or M.S. (for instructor) from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline by the start of the appointment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience teaching large undergraduate classes.
