Job Description:

This position serves as research regulatory coordinator for faculty, research staff, and student researchers at the CON.

  • Assist faculty, research staff and students on Institutional Review Board (IRB) application process, protocol and consent form development as it relates to human subject, data and specimen research;
  • Function as the College of Nursing (CON) representative for IRB full board review projects;
  • Act as a liaison to the Office of Research for the status of research applications, modification requests, and study reports;
  • Develop resources for faculty, staff, and students on Office of Research policies regarding research protocol guidelines;
  • Develop research regulatory binders for individual studies;
  • Serve as the College of Nursing Clinicaltials.gov administrator for all research projects required to be registered;
  • Design and maintain a centralized data management system for HIPAA and other research regulatory compliance data;
  • Conduct and administer a research regulatory audit program for College of Nursing studies;
  • Assist with research grant and project tracking data management system, when necessary;
  • Perform literature searches and summaries;
  • Coordinate pertinent research activities with other university educational and research functions;
  • Evaluate the possibility and feasibility of alternative funding agencies and recommend to project management potential sources of financial support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Hourly Rate:

$20.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Should have experience or skill in:

  • Research administration;
  • High level of experience and comfort working independently with senior leadership, faculty, staff, and students;
  • Designing, operating, and implementing Institutional Review Board applications;
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
