Job Description:

This Applications Programmer IV position is interim for the duration of the Knights Vision (KV) Cloud ERP project. This position is responsible for leading technical project management, design, development, testing, and on-going support of the Oracle PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) and Enterprise Service Automation (ESA) Grants application system.

Must have information technology program management and technical development experience, including experience in PeopleTools upgrades, FSCM/ESA application upgrades, patch application, environment management, change control, integration projects with internal department(s), third-party software vendors and banking partner(s). Must be proficient in core Oracle PeopleSoft development tools such as: People Code, Application Engine, Integration Broker, SQL and SQR.

Duties of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Leads and manages multiple technical projects, and directs the work of others including planning, determining, and coordinating work activities and schedules of university wide work teams, as well as technical consultants. Troubleshoots technical issues, identifies modifications needed, and resolves application performance issues. Reviews, evaluates, designs, analyzes, and creates programming systems including program design, coding, testing, and debugging using multiple programming languages to support Oracle PeopleSoft Financials software applications and integrations.

  • Leads and manages required PeopleTools upgrades, Financials application upgrades, patch application, environment management, integration projects with internal departments, third-party software vendors, and banking partner. Collects and analyzes data as appropriate. Designs, develops, and programs custom bolt-on applications, including program integrations to cross PeopleSoft and external, third Party applications using XML service operations and other methods.

  • Codes individual modules and complex functions. Troubleshoots and resolves software defects and issues. Oversees the management of one or more computer-based information systems. Identifies data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams, and documents the process. Provides technical expertise and recommendations in assessing software projects and initiatives to support and enhance existing systems.

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday; Regularly scheduled hours between the range of 7:30 AM-6:00 PM.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Productivity Tools.
  • Excellent planning and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Maintains a high level of initiative and is a proven self-starter.
