Job Description:

The Registered Nurse I works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager in providing nursing and patient care services within the clinical practice. Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assists physicians with patient examinations and procedures. Serves as clinical triage resource for the office via phone and in office encounters. May assist with orientation and training of new clinical support staff.
  • Assess patients' conditions in collaboration with the physician, administers PO, SC, IM, IV medications, and assists preparing patient charts and records.  Assists in patient testing in the office which may include administration of IV medications and/or contrasts. Documents thoroughly and accurately in the electronic health record.
  • Assists with scheduling patient appointments and providing referral and testing information and orders.
  • Acts as an engaged member of the Patient Centered Medical Home Team.  Participates in team meetings, care huddles, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Hours of work:

8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday. Hours and location of work may flex based on scheduling and coverage needs. Regular and reliable attendance is expected.

Minimum Qualifications:

Licensed as a registered nurse in accordance with Chapter 464, Florida Statutes or eligible to practice nursing in accordance with Section 210, Florida Administrative Code.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior nursing experience in an outpatient clinic setting.
  • Prior experience in a triage call center environment.
