Job Description:

The Patient Account Representative at UCF Health is responsible for preforming non-clinical patient support at UCF Health (East Orlando and Lake Nona). This position works under the supervision of the Revenue Cycle Manager. Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:


  • Process and manage patient payments.
  • Collects payments from patients for processing.
  • Research and resolve any issues relating to patient accounts.
  • Provide customer service by explaining insurance benefits to patients.
  • Assist the Revenue Cycle Team with patient refunds.
  • Reconcile daily deposit according to internal controls and policies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Part time within the hours of 7:30 AM-5:30 PM.

Monday - Friday

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 0+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Previous experience patient accounts in a medical facility.
  • Previous experience working with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system like eCW.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Once training has been completed, work may (with approval) be completed remotely and work onsite as needed.
