Job Description:

We are looking for individuals to join the laboratory of Dr. Ben D Sawyer and assist with and execute industrial engineering research studies. The candidate will primarily be responsible for creating readability test items for the Virtual Readability Lab (VRL). The job will require candidate to work with lead research team to develop short reading passages and comprehension questions that students will answer. The role will also include collecting data, coding data, attending virtual (Zoom) meetings, and handling research-related paperwork. This position could be ideal for an individual interested in attending graduate school in a human research-related field or education following this experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Applicants with a background in human factors, psychology, education, medical settings, or data science
  • Experience with human research and/or clinical research
  • Clear communication in both speaking and written word
  • Comfortable using computers and learning new applications
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and can easily follow specific instructions and protocols
