Job Description:

The School of Social Work at the College of Health Professions and Sciences at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a tenure-earning assistant professor or a tenured associate professor. We are looking for a colleague who is committed to innovative, collaborative, and interdisciplinary research and publicly engaged scholarship; teaching excellence and student success; meaningful community engagement; and social justice, equity, and inclusivity.

Minimum Qualifications:

MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program and a Ph.D./DSW in Social Work or a related discipline from an accredited institution. ABD’s will be considered if degree is earned by the start of the appointment period.

 

To be eligible for appointment as a tenured associate professor upon hire, the successful candidate must have a distinguished record of scholarly achievement and teaching experience commensurate with a tenured faculty appointment at the rank of associate professor.

Preferred Qualifications:

•  A research agenda showing opportunities for collaboration with the CBHRT and faculty at UCF.

 

•  A publication record and current funding or evidence of potential for external funding.

 

•  Teaching experience in social work.

 

•  Two years of post MSW social work practice experience.
