Job Description:

The Accountant II at WUCF TV & FM is responsible for all aspects of revenues for WUCF TV/FM including billing, handling deposits, journal entries, weekly reconciliation of donor deposits, general ledger account reconciliation, annual external audit, and entering data in the accounting system.

Duties and Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Weekly reconciliation of donor and underwriting income to the bank.

  • Invoices for:
    o Underwriting – prepares affidavits
    o Production
    o Rent
    o Miscellaneous

  • Receives, records, and deposits payments.

  • Maintains and reviews client contracts & status of contracts to ensure proper and timely billing.

  • Reconciles accounting records and ledgers.

  • Prepares supporting revenue schedules for the monthly Profit & Loss Statements.

  • Serves as back-up for:
    o Preparing purchase requisitions
    o Approving University Procurement Card Transactions
    o Submitting contracts for review and approval using the system: Cobblestone
    o Processing payroll

  • Enters payroll and revenue-related transactions in accounting systems.

  • Supervises Federal Work-Study staff.

  • Interacts and prepares reports for external auditors with a concentration in revenue and fixed assets.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel preferred.

  • Experience with Quickbooks preferred.

  • Experience with Billing and Reconciliation preferred.

  • Ability to work well under the pressure of deadlines and competing projects.

  • High attention to detail.
