Job Description:

The WUCF Education and Engagement Specialist will serve as a member of the Community Impact Team by working across the organization to assist with the planning and execution of WUCF’s education and community engagement initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Fosters a positive image of WUCF by representing the station at various community events.
  • Assists the station’s education and community engagement staff in the delivery of programs including but not limited to: PBS KIDS Time, caregiver and educator training, partner events, FM & TV community events, and other station priorities.
  • Coordinates engagement logistics, liaises with event staff, arranges for the packing and transporting of materials, and speaks with community members about WUCF programs.
  • Collaborates with WUCF education, community engagement, and communications staff to develop a consistent voice and experience for all users across products and content areas.
  • Provides excellent customer service to the general public and partners.
  • Assists in community impact promotions, including on-air and live events as needed.
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Monday through Friday; 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; 20 hours per week

Hourly Rate:

$15.00/ hour

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent and experience in community engagement, education, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

 

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prefer candidates with the ability to communicate in conversational Spanish in order to work effectively with customers.
