The Move It 4 May Steps Challenge has commenced at UCF, and the anticipation is palpable in the Office of Research (OR) and the College of Graduate Studies (CGS). The challenge provides a chance to connect with colleagues, embrace a healthier lifestyle, and enjoy the Florida sunshine.
It’s that time of the year again at UCF! The Move it 4 May Steps Challenge has officially commenced, and the excitement is palpable throughout the corridors of the Office of Research (OR) and the College of Graduate Studies (CGS). This isn’t just any ordinary challenge; it’s a spirited rematch that has everyone buzzing with anticipation and a good way to support National Physical Fitness & Sports Month.
Previously, CGS emerged victorious, proving that size doesn’t dictate strength. Their triumph was a testament to their tenacity, and this year, they’re back to defend their title. But the OR team is not far behind, ready to step up their game and stride towards victory.
With over 100 participants, the competition is fierce, but the camaraderie is even stronger. Each week, the top three teams will be announced, fueling the friendly rivalry and pushing everyone to go the extra mile—quite literally!
The challenge kicked off with a series of events designed to energize and encourage participants. While attendance wasn’t mandatory, those who joined found themselves enjoying the fresh air, engaging in lively conversations, and embracing the spirit of the challenge. This is more than a competition; it’s an opportunity to connect with colleagues, embrace a healthier lifestyle, and enjoy the beautiful Florida sunshine.
As we watch OR and CGS team members lace up their sneakers and sync their step trackers, we’re reminded of the true essence of this challenge: it’s about taking a break from the daily grind, fostering employee engagement, and building a stronger, healthier UCF community.
We eagerly await the final tally to see which team will claim the top spot. But regardless of the outcome, every participant is a winner in our eyes. Their dedication to health, teamwork, and fun is what truly counts.
This post celebrates the spirit of the Move it 4 May Steps Challenge and the remarkable engagement it fosters among UCF’s employees. It’s a reminder that together, we can achieve more—whether that’s in research, education, or a step challenge. So, to all the challengers, we say: Good luck, and may the best team step forward! And remember, in the spirit of UCF, GO KNIGHTS and CHARGE ON!
