The Opportunity
The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures in the College of Arts and Humanities (CAH) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a 9-month, non-tenure earning instructor or lecturer position in French and Francophone Studies, anticipated to begin August 2025.

The successful candidate will teach primarily lower-level language classes in French.  Assignments will consist of teaching eight classes per year. 

Minimum Qualifications:
A master’s degree (for an instructor) or terminal degree (for a lecturer) in French or related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. Native or near-native fluency in French and a high level of English proficiency are required.  

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years of experience teaching beginner and intermediate language classes, preferably in French, at the university or college level, and experience using a range of teaching modalities (i.e., online, mixed-mode, and face-to-face courses). Ability to teach upper-division courses if needed and the ability to teach a second language represented in our programs.

The selected candidate will be required to submit official transcripts (and, as applicable, U.S. degree equivalency evaluations) documenting the conferral of their qualifying academic credentials.
