We are looking to hire skilled and dedicated professionals for multiple roles at the Florida Solar Energy Center, who possess one or more of the certifications and experience in the following job functions:
Electrical Technician and Assembler

Responsibilities:
Electrical Technician and Assembler
Play a critical role in the assembly, integration, wiring, and testing of our electrical systems
Work with low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) panels, installation of instruments and electrical components, cable trays and conduit, panel building and wiring, performing system check-outs, and supporting factory acceptance testing
Install other system components and provide support for initial and extended testing
Handle the installation and mounting of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, process piping, instruments, wiring components, and other related components.
Welder and Manufacturing Technician
Play a critical role in the fabrication, construction, assembly, and testing of sub-skid systems as well as full system integration
Work with various metals (e.g., carbon steel, stainless steel), pipe welding, structural frame support welding, mechanical equipment assembly, pressure vessels builds and installations, controls and instruments installations, hangers and equipment supports/mounts for the several structural and process piping and control systems
Possess strong welding skills, welding certifications, experience with welding procedures, fabrication skills, interpreting assembly drawings, piping (isometric drawing) ISOs, and the ability to work collaboratively with our engineering and production teams
Perform general system-level assembly and installation of motors, pumps, instruments, and other electrical, mechanical, and chemical components
Assemble major process equipment to sub-skid/modules, welding and bolting interconnecting process piping and installation of system control subcomponents
Manufacturing Technician
Directly participate in hands-on fabrication, construction, assembly, testing and start-up of the M2X operating system
Produce sub-skids integrated into a “chemical plant on wheels” through a series of assembly steps, including steel frame fabrication, installation and mounting of pressure vessels/heat exchangers, process piping, instruments, wiring components, and other components
Assemble and install major and minor process equipment, including vessels, motors, pumps, electrical components, support systems, valves, and other components
Install pumps, electric motors, valves, controls, instruments, and related mechanical subsystems
Minimum Qualifications:
Technical diploma or associate degree in above mentioned fields (electrical, welding, manufacturing, engineering technology etc.)
Proven experience as above-mentioned job functions
Proficient in reading/interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Works from engineering drawings/prints, ISOs and job or system specifications, test procedures, schematics, and verbal instruction
Reasonable understanding of electrical and mechanical process systems, process piping, bolted joints, mechanical compression connections and instrument installations
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience with manufacturing and assembly of mechanical and electrical systems
2+ years of technician experience with complex engineered systems
Experience in welding and manufacturing environment, or industrial manufacturing environment
Certification or licensing as an electrician or electrical technician
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Experience with automotive engines, automotive wiring, and electrical/gas generators
Demonstrates previous Weld Certifications with interests in advancement in automated welding operations
Basic understanding of inspections and inspection processes per AWS D1.1, API 1104, ASTM testing standards, ASNDT testing standards, rules, regulations, codes and standards
Interest in advanced welding procedures, techniques, welding inspection, and certifications
Certification or licensing as an electrician or electrical technician
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Knowledge of advanced testing and diagnostic equipment such as HART communicators, digital multimeters, and process calibrators
Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed
Comfortable working in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights of standing, bending, and walking for extended periods
