The Workday Administrator IV is a part of the UCF IT organization in the Workday Enterprise Support Team, which works to support its business partners in conducting university and direct support organizations business.

The Opportunity:

UCF IT seeks applications for an experienced Workday Administrator IV. The Workday Administrator IV plays a pivotal and lead role in managing, configuring, and optimizing the UCF cloud-based Workday ERP system. This role involves not only system maintenance and troubleshooting, but also the development and enhancement of business processes within the system. The Administrator IV is a lead problem-solver, using their expertise in Workday and deep knowledge of a specific functional area to propose and implement business process changes to resolve complex business challenges and improve business process effectiveness. This is a customer-facing position that specializes in Workday Finance functions. We especially welcome candidates with strong communication and interpersonal skills who have experience working with non-technical stakeholders. 

Classification Title: Cloud ERP Administrator IV

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and facilitate the day-to-day operations of the Workday ERP system.

  • Configure the Workday ERP system according to complex functional and technical requirements.

  • Lead complex data mapping and data conversion.

  • Configure and test complex business processes and workflows within the Workday ERP System.

  • Monitor system performance, diagnose and troubleshoot issues, and conduct regular system audits to assess data integrity.

  • Address system and data integrity issues in collaboration with other IT teams and business partners.

  • Develop highly complex functional, technical, design, and business process specification documentation for implementation in the Workday ERP System. 

  • Coordinate complex system upgrades, implementations and maintenance activities for the specific functional areas of responsibility.

  • Manage projects to address business problems, improve system efficiency and functionality.

  • Provide end-user support, training, and documentation.

  • Direct the work and provide feedback to mentor and guide student apprentices.

  • As assigned, mentor and direct the work of colleagues with less experience.

  • Work with senior-level business stakeholders to identify and recommend opportunities for system enhancements, facilitate governance, prioritize tasks, propose solutions, and facilitate decisions.

  • Document tasks, decisions, requirements, and progress in work management system.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 9 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Workday platform and/or similar ERP experience.

  • Experience with Workday Finance; OR experience with UCF financial processes.

  • Demonstrated experience with customer service and communication as they relate to Workday ERP technology and configurations.

  • Experience building and managing Workday integrations and reporting tools (such as Workday Studio, EIB, or Prism Analytics).

  • Advanced knowledge of financial systems and compliance requirements in higher education, including grants, auxiliary funds, and E&G budgeting.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:

Position requires a valid Class E driver’s license. This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $104,664 - $127,100. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
