The Opportunity:

The Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement is embedded in the College of Nursing and leads in the development and execution of events and programs that support alumni engagement and annual giving.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our Alumni engagement team. If you are passionate about fostering alumni connections, driving relationships and contributing to the UCF community's growth, we invite you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead in the execution of strategic college-based events as deemed appropriate.

  • Oversee volunteer activities of the college such as the chapter, mentorship program on the Knights Network platform, and/or episodic engagement activities. Oversight includes the identification, recruitment, training, and evaluation of the programs and their overall success. 

  • Establish and grow college mentorship program within the UCF Knights Network platform.

  • Assist with content creation or curation for UCF alumni engagement and annual giving communications including electronic communications, web content, social media, direct mail, text campaigns, college-specific publications, and partner on select annual giving campaigns. 

  • Utilize best practices to increase communications-based engagement. 

  • Conduct outreach and cultivation efforts to activate strategic segments of alumni through 1:1 interactions that occur in-person, via phone or virtually.

  • Leverage existing initiatives led by UCF Alumni such as but not limited to National Networking Knight, Knights Give Back, or Football Watch Parties to grow alumni engagement through events. 

  • In coordination with UCF Alumni, increase the number of new, college-specific registered users and stimulate repeat engagement in the UCF Knights Network platform.

  • Increase the quantity of events that include gifts with registration to increase the number of alumni donors from the college. 

  • If applicable, ensure 100% participation from alumni board members of existing chapters. 

  • Leverage UCF Advancement's constituent database to record, track and measure all college alumni engagement activities to positively impact participation and performance metrics set forth in the strategic plan. 

  • Leverage UCF Day of Giving to increase college-specific alumni participation. Lead awareness and champion the initiative with staff, faculty, and students.

  • Identify volunteer leaders to fill open positions within the Young Alumni Community, Regional Communities, college advisory boards, or the UCF Alumni Board. 

  • Identify outstanding alumni worthy of recognition through various university-wide or college specific award and recognition programs, and coordinate vetting, submission or nomination processes. 

  • Log contact reports and share lead generation results with appropriate development or UCF Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving colleagues to deepen engagement and increase affinity with the university. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.  Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate effectively with professionals at all levels of internal and external organizations with demonstrated service orientation and diplomacy.

  • Experience working with various technologies including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, CRM systems and ERP systems.

  • Ability to build and foster relationships and have an enthusiastic and energetic attitude.

  • A strategic and critical thinker.

  • An independent worker with adept problem-solving and project management skills.

  • Goal oriented and deadline driven.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills. 

  • Ability to multitask and organize across multiple projects and tasks on a day-to-day basis.

The determination of a successful candidate's starting salary will vary based on several factors, including education and relevant experience. The anticipated pay scale indicated for this position generally applies to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and several of the preferred qualifications outlined above.
