The Opportunity:
The Community of Practice Administrator is a lead administrator for the Community of Practice (COP) longitudinal clinical experience curriculum for first and second-year medical students (240 total), reporting to the Assistant Director for Pre-Clerkship Education and working with the Community of Practice Director and Clinical Sciences Co-Directors. Provides strategic oversight of program evaluation, clinical faculty development, recruitment/retention, and credentialing processes. Champions cross-departmental collaboration while employing advanced problem-solving to optimize educational outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Manages the strategic assignment and ongoing oversight of 240+ first and second-year medical students within a network of approximately 100 clinical preceptors.
Ensures optimal preceptor-student alignment, facilitates necessary rotation transitions, and maintains continuous communication with college affiliates regarding student placements and performance.
Functions as primary liaison between UCF College of Medicine's COP program and its network of 67+ community clinical sites throughout central Florida.
Maintains active communication with clinical partners, conducts strategic site visits, orientations, and ensures continuous LCME compliance across all participating locations. Coordinates affiliation agreements with the legal department and maintains ongoing partner engagement.
Serves as the primary point of contact for all COP-related inquiries and concerns, implementing sophisticated problem-solving approaches for program optimization.
Maintains consistent availability during UCF business hours to address student questions, assist with scheduling challenges, and ensure effective distribution of program information to first and second-year students.
Maintains and executes comprehensive student professionalism monitoring systems through integrated preceptor feedback, H&P Coach evaluations, and COP assignment completion tracking.
Provides advanced technical support for the e-portfolio system through personalized training sessions, both in-person and remote, while monitoring clinical performance metrics and addressing portfolio system challenges.
Directs comprehensive student-preceptor evaluation processes in partnership with the Office of Assessment.
Implements strategic recruitment initiatives focused on clinical faculty expansion while collaborating on professional development programs.
Oversees faculty recognition initiatives including the prestigious Preceptor of Excellence awards program and special recognition certificates.
Maintains and implements comprehensive HIPAA compliance protocols and Frame of Reference Training for Summative Assessors.
Partners with Educational Technology team to advance assessment tracking initiatives and e-portfolio system improvements.
Creates instructional materials, analyzes performance data, and generates detailed Program Director reports while maintaining compliance documentation.
Collaborates with the Assistant Director Pre-Clerkship Education, Course Director, and Office of Student Affairs credentialing liaison to establish, implement, and monitor comprehensive student credentialing protocols.
Maintains ongoing interface with major affiliates to ensure timely compliance with all credentialing requirements and provides rapid response to credentialing-related inquiries.
Other duties as assigned to include but not limited to the timely completion of university and college trainings and updates.
Delivers strategic curriculum support to M1/M2 coordinators while maintaining backup coordinator capabilities.
Manages proctoring responsibilities for both in-person and virtual assessment activities, ensuring seamless evaluation processes across all program components.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with experiential learning.
Prior experience working with faculty/physicians.
Demonstrated experience in data tracking and strong attention to detail.
Strong communication and oral presentation skills.
Previous experience in higher education preferred.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $48,722- $59,684. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
