The Opportunity:
The Department of Housing and Residence Life seeks applications for a Key Services Specialist. The Specialist is heavily focused on customer service within the Housing lock shop. This position is responsible for programming locks, creating key cards, assisting other Techs and assisting the front desk. This is an entry-level role with room to grow within the lock shop and university.
This is an auxiliary funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.
Classification Title: Maintenance Technician I
Responsibilities:
Assist Facilities Specialist with inventory.
Provide customer service in person and over the phone.
Use Persona system to program locks and create key cards.
Assist with Front desk.
Maintain and repair electronic and mechanical lock system.
Respond to AIM work orders for off campus locations.
Support other Maintenance Technicians.
Assists with Housing key services vehicles.
Assists with vendors and liaisons with UCF FP&C for projects.
Assists with Housing TRAKA key boxes.
Escorts vendors for various projects.
Handles ADA remotes and door closers.
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of an approved apprenticeship program for multiple trades; or a high school diploma and 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Customer service and front desk experience.
Knowledge of hand tools.
Knowledge of electronic key systems.
Health Assessment Required:
The UCF policy requires completion and passing of a physical exam for this position.
