The University of Central Florida's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is currently accepting applications for a Mental Health Clinician to support students' mental health by primarily providing clinical services. These include initial assessments, individual and group counseling, crisis management, and consultation with parents, faculty, staff, and students
This position/classification may be moved at the management's discretion within the SSWB division to a commensurate level as determined by the Vice President of Student Development and Enrollment Services or his/her designee.
UCF is seeking to fill multiple roles. Candidates for this job posting will be considered for additional vacancies in this department.
Responsibilities:
Provide (in-person or tele-mental health) initial assessments, triage, individual (short-term/brief therapy) and group therapy and consultation and referral services to currently enrolled UCF students and in extenuating circumstances, non-enrolled and/or non-students along with other University community members.
Provide crisis intervention, management and follow up services and may initiate and authorize involuntary examination (Baker Act) procedures in accordance with statute 394.463, Florida Mental Health Act. If unlicensed, clinician will receive supervision by licensed therapist.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family, or Social Work from an accredited college or university.
Licensed or license eligible as a mental health counselor, social worker, marriage and family therapist, or psychologist in the State of Florida and must maintain license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to connect effectively with college students and provide broad-based clinical support across a range of mental health concerns.
Licensed or registered as an intern with the State of Florida.
Experience providing short-term or brief therapy.
1+ year of post-degree experience providing mental health services in a clinical, agency, or university setting.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $27.00 - $31.00. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
