The Opportunity:

Join our dynamic parking team, committed to delivering exceptional operational support as an Office Assistant. This role is essential for the smooth functioning of the Visitor and Parking Information Center, assisting constituents of the UCF community with all facets of parking, vehicle permit registration, citation issuance, and shuttle and visitor information. You will provide excellent customer service to the UCF community and visitors by offering directions, parking instructions, and addressing concerns related to parking and shuttles, thereby enhancing the UCF experience for all.

Responsibilities:

  • Processes citations payments, parking permits and event services into POS and computer. Responds to customer inquiries about parking citations, accepts payments or guides customer to the appeals process.   

  • Provides directions to parking facilities and explains short term metered parking zones to customers. Disseminates accurate information to constituents regarding parking updates, facility closures, regulations and policies by telephone, email and in-person.   

  • Assists with UCF shuttle inquires by tracking buses on a GPS application and directing inquires onto the Transportation Specialist.  

  • Research driver information by using state database system DAVID for citation responsibility.   

  • Participates in the processes involved with collections of outstanding fines. Balances daily revenue intake at end of shift and submits to supervisor for daily audit and reconciliation.

  • Supports new hire training and assists with student orientation when needed.   

  • Supports reservations of the conference room and escorts attendees. Restocks materials and ensures well maintained service center.  Delivers customer service standards of executing responsiveness, accountability, over-delivery and positive attitude. 

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent and 0+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a customer service role, interacting professionally, and providing courteous responses to inquiries. 

  • Experience with standard office support software including Microsoft Office and GPS tracking systems or parking management software preferred. 

  • Experience partnering with other departments, such as IT and Accounting.  

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a broad representation of stakeholders and external vendors.
