Student Financial Assistance is dedicated to supporting UCF's mission and goals through the efficient delivery of student aid. The office provides UCF students with a comprehensive offering of financial assistance options to support student success and the attainment of a university degree.
The Opportunity:
UCF’s Student Success and Well-Being Office of Student Financial Assistance is currently accepting applications for an Office Support Assistant. This role will serve as the primary receptionist, providing a welcoming and professional front-line presence for visitors and inquiries. This role includes receiving and processing incoming mail, including checks, while ensuring accurate documentation and secure handling. Responsibilities also involve coordinating scheduling efforts, managing meeting space logistics, supporting file storage systems, and performing data entry to maintain organized and up-to-date records.
This is an Auxiliary-funded position. Employment is subject to the availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.
Responsibilities:
External and Internal Relations:
Greets visitors and directs them to the correct location.
Answers external phone calls and directs inquiries correctly within the organization.
Provides information for routine inquiries.
Accepts and signs for deliveries.
Screens, sorts, and distributes mail.
Office Support:
Ensures standard office machinery (e.g. phones, printers, copiers, and fax) is in working order.
Supports scheduling efforts of individuals and meeting spaces.
Assists with routine data entry requests.
Handles the closing and opening of office/meeting spaces.
Assists other administrative support personnel in efforts to manage office.
Communications Support:
Assists in mass communications/mailings (includes mail merges or database reports).
Prepares and maintains files in accordance with established guidelines and/or templates.
Assists in outreach to external constituents, under direction of supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and 0+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a Higher Education Environment.
Experience with virtual meeting platforms.
