The Opportunity:
This is a unique opportunity to work in the UCF Center for Community Schools. The Center is a statewide Technical Assistance Provider. This specific position will lead the Certification House (Department) and focus primarily on Community Partnership Schools. A candidate should be experienced working in an educational institution. They should have technical Assistance experience. A candidate should be able to evaluate and assess sites as a method of continuous improvement. A candidate should be able to provide verbal and written feedback to sites. A candidate should be able to learn from the best practices in the community school research.
This is a Contract and Grant (C&G) funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the development and management of an annual strategy for certification, including an evolution of standards in both form and function, and the steps necessary to achieve them.
Establish and enhance strategic partnership to advance and utilize the certification process with community school model-driven standards. Collaborate with state, national, and international partners to elevate certification practices and community school planning and implementation efforts.
Lead and meet stated reporting requirement deadlines for assessment and evaluation reports, operational summaries, and annual reports.
Create and enhance systems and processes for external working groups to conduct the certification review and application and manage efforts to provide and promote the broad-reaching application of the certification to maintain model fidelity.
Strategize, collaborate, advise, and consult in the planning, development and implementation of model fidelity standards for the statewide initiative.
Responsible for dissemination of information regarding certification activities internally and externally.
Assist in the management of research, assessment, and reporting trends of field results, identifying and promoting community school best practice techniques for advancement of statewide efforts.
Supervise and lead the Certification team.
Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of certification processes and communications.
Lead special initiatives and projects.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a relevant field (business administration, public administration, social sciences, or a related area.)
2 years Full-service or Community School experience.
2-3 years Supervisory experience.
Experience working in educational accreditation or evaluation capacities.
Experience with educational institutions, grants, healthcare, and/or non-profits.
Superior Communication skills, both written and oral.
Time, organizational, and project management skills.
Ability to establish and lead positive working relationships with certification team and other Center staff members.
