The Opportunity:
The Administrative Assistant I provides administrative and secretarial support to staff and programs. Duties include development and maintenance of records related to program activities, students and, as needed, budget, personnel, purchasing, payroll, and travel interactions with the SET teams across our multiple colleges.
Responsibilities:
Provide support to program staff.
Provide guidance to students and visitors, answer requests for information, coordinate calendars, make appointments, etc.
Initiate hiring processes and liaise with the HR business center.
Verify payroll hours as Timekeeper, which includes submission reminders, adjustments to time, etc.
Assist with monitoring the budget and expenditures and liaise with the finance business center.
Supervise student office assistants and schedule office coverage and work assignments.
Facilitate mass mailing process.
Interface and coordinate activities with various university offices and external entities.
Handle logistics and registration of office program events.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a higher education setting.
Familiar with PeopleSoft Student Records and Workday systems.
Office management experience.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects effectively.
