The Opportunity:
UCF IT seeks an Application Systems Analyst III for their Peoplesoft Campus Solutions student information system & ERP team! The Application Systems Analyst III position acts as a subject matter expert and is responsible for the business requirements, analysis, specifications, testing and on-going maintenance & support of the Peoplesoft Campus Solutions student information system and other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. This position helps plan, schedule, and manage application development projects, tools upgrades, and patches. The position provides product management and leadership of development efforts, system performance, and data analysis to support decision-making.
The position helps ensure quality deliverables, including effective business processes and user experience.
Responsibilities:
Conducts stakeholder meetings to determine system requirements, translates requirements into functional system specifications, components, estimates and project plans. Manages deliverables and project documentation and facilitates project meetings.
Reviews and analyzes UCF system processes, user experience, administrative business processes, and procedures for re-engineering and automation, and identifies improvements.
Provides analytical data to track system and team performance.
Coordinates testing, investigates errors, diagnoses problems, documents the problem, tracks issues, and recommends solutions. Coordinates problem resolution with development or systems support team members and other UCF support resources. Performs diagnostics, troubleshoots problems, and escalates problems to vendors.
Maintains effective documentation based on standards for system configuration, business process documents, functional specifications, business process diagrams, data flow diagrams, and flowcharts.
Updates test plans, builds test scenarios, and performs systems testing for production support, maintenance, or upgrades.
Provides support for ERP maintenance planning and scheduling. Provides project management support for implementation of patches and upgrades.
Provides content for the development of training and conducts training when required. Facilitates focus groups and solicits stakeholder feedback to improve system function and user experience.
Supports and mentors student interns to provide high impact experiences.
Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
In depth knowledge of Oracle Peoplesoft architecture, data, and product ecosystem.
Ability to plan, design, configure, and implement system queries, reports, and business process improvements.
Knowledge of user experience (UX) design.
Advanced scripting skills (SQL).
Experience coaching student interns.
Experience leading complex projects.
In-depth understanding of UCF information technology services and higher education stakeholder needs.
Ability to operate effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to lead, inspire and motivate project teams to perform at high levels.
Ability to understand the needs of the business to help develop strategies for digital transformation.
Ability to ensure the highest levels of trust in data transparency, compliance, and security.
Ability to think of new ideas to improve digital experiences.
Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to facilitate decision making among executive stakeholders.
Special Instructions to the Applicants:
This position will be required to work occasional nights and weekends during upgrades or outages.
This is not a remote position. Up to 1-3 hybrid workdays per week may be available after a probationary period, depending on job duties, project work, and supervisor approval.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000 and $92,000. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
