The Opportunity:
UCF's Advancement & Partnerships is seeking an experienced Business Data Analyst I professional with a proven track record of supporting systems, processes, and change management efforts across the department by serving as a resident expert for Blackbaud CRM (Apollo), UCF's donor management system and the backbone of advancement operations.
In this opportunity a successful candidate will collaborate with fundraising and operational teams to gather requirements, document business processes, and design system‑based solutions that reduce risk, improve efficiency, and support strategic fundraising initiatives. With broad visibility across the division, this position focuses on translating institutional and business needs into technical solutions while partnering across departments to drive division‑wide impact.
Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Change Management:
Serve as liaison between technical systems and internal partners to understand business needs and gather requirements.
Write functional specifications and design solutions within Blackbaud and related technology platforms.
Lead process and system change management efforts across the division.
System & Workflow Design:
Design and maintain system workflows and core functions including Global changes, queues, recognition societies, imports, exports, and related configurations.
Technical Documentation & Training:
Produce high-quality technical documentation including workflows, field mappings, schemas, and procedures.
Create tutorials and user guidance to support adoption of systems and tools.
Collaboration & Troubleshooting:
Partner with Business Intelligence to develop queries and customizations aligned with business needs.
Work with Service Desk teams to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
System Architecture Support:
Contribute to overall Blackbaud system configuration and architecture, including security roles, permissions, queries, page design, system settings, and related configurations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in business analysis, advancement systems, or CRM administration.
Experience working in higher education, nonprofit, or complex decentralized organizations.
Demonstrated expertise with advancement CRM platforms, preferably Blackbaud CRM (BBCRM) or Raiser’s Edge.
Experience querying relational databases and working with complex data structures.
Strong background in requirements gathering and functional specification development.
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Proven ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Experience training or mentoring colleagues on systems and processes.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, information systems, analytics, or related field.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.

Advancement and Partnerships values the unique contributions that each team member brings to our division. The anticipated salary for a well-qualified candidate is $64,518 - $74,940.
The final determination of a successful candidate's starting salary will vary based on several factors, including education and relevant experience. The anticipated pay scale indicated for this position generally applies to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and several of the preferred qualifications outlined above. All offers are contingent on successful background and reference screens.
