The Opportunity:
UCF Global seeks applicants for a Business Systems Analyst II. The Business Systems Analyst II plays a key role in supporting and enhancing the information systems that serve international students, scholars, and global programs. This position acts as a liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure the effective operation and continuous improvement of UCF Global’s administrative systems.
The Analyst will provide systems administration and support, manage help desk tickets, and lead efforts related to system upgrades and enhancements. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders across academic and administrative units.
This is an Auxiliary funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for UCF Global’s administrative systems, including modules related to international admissions, student tracking, compliance, and program management.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users; escalate issues to vendors when necessary and ensure timely resolution.
Manage system upgrades and enhancements, including: Business process analysis, Systems testing (unit, regression, and user acceptance), Documentation updates, End-user training and support.
Collaborate with UCF Global staff and university stakeholders to evaluate business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and align system capabilities with operational needs.
Gather and analyze functional requirements; document user stories and functional specifications for approved system customizations.
Coding in SQL and other software development languages if needed.
Create and maintain user documentation, including guides, FAQs, and training materials; deliver training sessions both in-person and remotely.
Partner with UCF Global’s reporting and analytics team to support data-driven decision-making through report development and maintenance.
Perform other duties as assigned to support UCF Global’s mission and strategic initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience providing technical support to non-technical users.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Ability to code is a plus.
Experience managing software upgrades and testing processes.
Familiarity with business process modeling and system design methodologies.
Experience in higher education, international education, or global program administration.
Knowledge of enterprise systems such as CRM (Salesforce), ERP (Workday), or international student management platforms.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Special Instructions to the Applicants:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $65,000-$72,000. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
