The Opportunity:
The Career Coach is responsible for working with students to achieve targeted graduation and employment outcomes created by the College. The position is responsible for working with students in regard to: (1) choosing an appropriate path of academic study, (2) implementing academic and administrative regulations of the College and University, (3) supporting Career Professionalism course curricula as needed, (4) facilitating appropriate professional development activities, (5) connecting students to other supporting College and University resources when appropriate, (6) supporting the acquisition of internship, externship, and post-graduation opportunities, and (7) other duties as needed.
Responsibilities:
Develops, implements, facilitates, and evaluates various programs and assists with successfully integrating them into the University environment. Focuses on students’ career development by working with students, alumni, and/or potential employers in both a classroom and one-on-one setting.
Acts as a liaison with the appropriate College and University department(s) to assist with the formulation and implementation of policies and procedures as they relate to academic and professional development advising of students.
Facilitates student application of the Career Professionalism concepts and learning objectives, including providing advice/feedback on career research tools: assessments, career plan, resume, interviewing, networking, job expo activities, internships.
Provides guidance and collects data associated with two primary student groups: a) incoming students as it pertains to their major selection and readiness to succeed in their chosen major, and b) graduating seniors, which includes support for post-graduation employment.
Prepares/conducts workshops and presentations on behalf of the College, including but not limited to Open House, Orientation, Workshops, Major Fairs, and in-class presentations.
Executes FERPA and University rules/regulations of student privacy when working with students, and may facilitate incoming requests from employers for referrals to student organization academic liaisons, while upholding FERPA.
Utilizes software such as Workday, PeopleSoft, Salesforce, and MyKnight Star, and may be responsible for degree certification.
Participates in regular meetings with Chairs and department faculty to provide information on career and advising sessions.
Trains and supervises student assistant staff as needed. May be responsible for supporting participation in the College's Internship courses.
All other duties as assigned within the job scope.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's and 2+ years of relevant experience or Masters degree and 0+ years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ year of full-cycle recruitment experience.
Demonstrated experience in career coaching, including resume reviews, LinkedIn reviews, mock interviews, and job search strategies.
Skilled in providing one-on-one and group advising sessions, with a focus on career planning and professional development.
Experience in hosting and delivering engaging presentations and workshops to a wide range of participants.
Experience in developing and managing initiatives aimed at enhancing career readiness.
Familiarity with software such as Workday, PeopleSoft, Salesforce, and MyKnight Star.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $48,722- $59,684. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
Some evening and weekend work may be required as necessary. This is a fully in-person position with no remote days.
