The Opportunity:
This position is primarily responsible for supporting administrative tasks associated with the drafting, review and negotiation of contracts and other research-related agreements. This includes maintaining the ability to work independently, efficiently, and accurately, and follow through on assignments with minimal direction as well as maintaining a high level of customer service to investigators and staff at UCF.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the intake and triaging of contracts and provide notice to Office of Research award management team for the establishment of new projects; ensure all documents and information are filled for new project establishment or modifications to existing projects.
Serve as primary contact for investigators and college and department research administrators in all matters related to contract negotiation administrative support.
Draft or review research-related contracts, including funded and unfunded agreements. Coordinate agreement reviews by other Office of Research and University units. Incorporate edits as required to comply with applicable policies, regulations, and laws, and route for approvals and signature, as needed.
Maintain a fundamental understanding of regulations, policies, and guidelines governing sponsored programs.
Remain current with developments in University-sponsored contracting and research administration through participation in professional development activities such as attendance at professional meetings, in-house webinars, and other informational sessions.

Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with experience in relationship management and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated experience in critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical decision-making.
Moderate level proficiency in Microsoft Excel to include basic data analysis.
Previous experience in research administration with drafting and reviewing contracts.
Experience with Huron or other contract management system
Able to maintain a Positive, professional, and customer-focused approach to work.
Capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Prefer knowledge and experience with UCF policies and procedures.
