The Opportunity:

The Enrollment Services Coordinator provides holistic support to prospective and current students, specializing in undergraduate admissions, financial aid, and registrar services. This role leads the coordination of new student and family programming for the downtown campus while collaborating with partners to drive enrollment, retention, and student success.

Classification Title: Student Programs Coordinator I

Responsibilities:

Enrollment Management & Student Navigation

  • Guide prospective and current students through the full enrollment lifecycle, including admissions, residency, orientation, and financial aid/payment processes.

  • Conduct multi-modal appointments (in-person, virtual, phone, and email) to provide comprehensive registrar and admissions support.

  • Identify and resolve complex student concerns promptly to improve retention and meet institutional success benchmarks.

  • Utilize university-wide platforms including Slate, PeopleSoft (myUCF), myKnightStar, and Workday to manage student data and workflows.

Program Leadership & Event Coordination

  • Lead the strategic coordination, implementation, and assessment of New Student and Family Programming at the downtown campus, tailoring orientation experiences for First-Time-In-College (FTIC) and transfer students.

  • Develop and execute prospective student information sessions and tours; represent the Downtown Enrollment team at university-wide events, resource fairs, and open houses.

  • Collaborate with the Director of Enrollment Services, academic colleges, and Valencia College partners to ensure a seamless, "one-stop" student experience.

Operational Oversight & Staff Supervision

  • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate student personnel, specifically focusing on tour facilitation and front-desk excellence.

  • Manage daily floor operations for Student Success and Well-Being (SSWB) Downtown, including the development of policies, procedures, and the management of hoteling services.

  • Identify and execute strategic initiatives that align with SSWB goals to promote student enrollment, completion, and overall success.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the full-cycle coordination and implementation of student-centered events, ranging from small-scale workshops to large-scale campus programming.

  • Prior experience in a higher education enrollment management setting or a secondary education environment.

The most successful candidates may possess the following qualities:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills including experience presenting

  • Ability to problem solve and seek resolutions to a variety of student issues.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:

  • The anticipated hourly range for this position is $17.64 - $19.63 The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.

  • Position requires a valid Class E driver’s license. This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.

  • Applicant must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer, as sponsorship is not available for this position.
