The Opportunity:
Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Event Coordinator works closely with the Events and Catering team on internal and external event programming. This position also serves as a liaison for the dean's office and other university departments that utilize our event services.
Responsibilities:
Promote the Rosen College of Hospitality Management to internal and external audiences.
Market the college services and engage the domestic and international community in the college's activities.
Work closely with the Program Manager to plan all external and internal events.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years experience in customer service, catering, event management, or related field.
Previous experience supervising or leading projects, events, or similar teams.
Proficiency in planning and hosting events and conferences of various sizes.
Demonstrated commitment to customer service with the ability to foster and maintain relationships.
Experience in Microsoft Suite, catering software, and event CAD software.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
Proven experience prioritizing tasks with exceptional organizational skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
