Health and Information Technology:
The UCF College of Medicine Health and Information Technology department will provide world class support services, leverage the use of technology and establish a robust infrastructure that will advance the College’s vision to be the nation’s premier 21st century college of medicine mission, as well as, be a be a national leader in education, research, and patient care.
The Opportunity:
Builds and manages relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that business needs are effectively communicated and aligned with technology services. Assists with strategic planning and service delivery activities, including but not limited to the management of change management and service alert processes.
Responsibilities:
Relationship Management & Strategy:
Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure business needs are effectively communicated and aligned with technology services.
Collaborate with HealthIT leadership to develop and document policies, strategic plans, and roadmaps that align with business goals and objectives.
Assist with the facilitation of the HealthIT project intake processes for key stakeholders by gathering and clearly articulating business requirements, ensuring accurate translation into project requests and needs analyses.
Facilitate the HealthIT Policy and Standard Operating Procedure Development processes.
Service Delivery:
Serve as the Change Administrator for all HealthIT managed Change Advisory Boards.
Facilitate Change Advisory Board meetings by providing support for all activities related to the change management process including but not limited to documenting changes, reviewing changes, facilitating meetings, and reporting.
Collect, analyze, and report on data related to the performance and availability of information technology services.
Identify, document, and escalate notable alerts related to service disruptions, performance, and security to appropriate units for timely resolution.
Education and Training:
Provides guidance and training to clients and peers on functionality, standards, and usability of supported systems.
Ensures open collaborative interactions between all IT units, COM/AHSC Departments, vendors, and health partners to ensure transparency and completeness in communications, building awareness and a sense of common purpose around Health and Information Technology.
Other duties as assigned:
Contributes to the overall success of the College by performing all other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Timely completion of all UCF and COM trainings and updates.
Job duties will apply to all areas of the COM, UCF Health and Burnett Biomedical Sciences. There will be limited interaction with AHSC components and teaching hospital for the time being. The level of interaction and collaboration will change to encompass the AHSC and teaching hospital as the efforts toward establishing and building out the campus allow.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a healthcare or medical school environment.
Experience in an information technology environment.
Experience with change management processes.
Experience with project management processes.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Experience working with IT Service Management systems (ServiceNow, etc.)
