The Opportunity:
The IT Client Support Specialist I at the UCF Rosen College of Hospitality Management (RCHM) provides support and service administration including software and hardware troubleshooting, configuration, and installation as well as serving as a resource to other end users.
Responsibilities:
Provide IT support at a college level supporting students, faculty, staff and visitors under the direction the RCHM IT Director.
Perform hardware and software installations, diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, inventory & de-provisioning.
Events multimedia support to include setups and breakdowns and classroom support.
Manage IT service desk customer requests, assist staff and faculty training regarding software and equipment usage as appropriate and asset management.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous customer service experience, with a focus on technical support.
Experience supporting Windows 10 and 11 operating systems with knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Team, Office 365).
Familiarity with commercial AV systems, components, and standards (e.g., projectors, control systems, DSPs, video distribution) with experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting AV systems.
Relevant IT industry certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, or similar.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of team in a dynamic environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train others on AV system and multimedia use and troubleshooting.
Special Instructions to the Applicants:
Position requires a valid Class E driver’s license. This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $20.29 to $22.57. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
