The Opportunity

The Manager, Digital Platforms, Enterprise Service Management position is responsible for driving the roadmap and implementation of enterprise digital solutions for the business by leveraging digital experience technologies. This position provides UCF IT with leadership within enterprise service management associated technologies that provide best in class business engagement experiences. Servicing as the product architect and subject matter expert, the position manages enterprise platform support, related staff and contributes to the overall platform strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages staff and related activities for IT service management, application development and telephony billing application. Manages day-to-day team objectives; organizes, delegates and monitors daily teamwork and progress. Assists in staff hiring, staff supplementation, and/or outsourcing initiatives; coach junior members, manage interns (when applicable) and act as lead/mentor where required.

  • Provides consultation for enterprise service management solutions, business logic/requirements, custom forms and applications within the platform. Documents all requirements and changes during development. Sets vision and standards for the development and integration of enterprise service management related technologies.

  • Manages the technical delivery of custom development, data migration elements and integrations (such as third-party systems using web services REST/SOAP API's, LDAP and SFTP) of enterprise service management related technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical Skills and Experience:  

  • 3 years of leadership experience, with proven ability to lead, inspire and motivate teams to perform at high levels.

  • In depth knowledge of ServiceNow architecture, data model, and product ecosystem. 

  • Advanced coding/scripting skills (HTML 5, Css3, JavaScript, XML, JQuery, AngularJS and ServiceNow API). 

  • Experience with planning, architecting, and implementing complex large-scale platforms. 

  • Ability to plan, design, configure, and implement integrations between core application systems (using technologies such as SOAP, SQL Connections, SOAP API, REST API, Bulk API and Streaming API). 

  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) design. 

  • Extensive experience running agile development projects or teams. 

  • Experience coaching student interns. 

  • Knowledge of ITIL framework and service management processes.

  • Ability to think of new ideas to improve digital experiences. 

  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to facilitate decision making among executive stakeholders. 

  • Ability to ensure the highest levels of trust in data transparency, compliance, and security. 

Special Instructions to the Applicants: 

This position allows for a hybrid/remote work environment. The selected candidate will need to work in office twice per month on a Thursday. Additional days in office may be required based on business needs.
