The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Health Professions and Sciences (CHPS) is home to nationally recognized programs focused on health and wellness ― and a respected faculty dedicated to teaching innovations and research partnerships. The college offers accredited programs in athletic training, communication sciences and disorders, physical therapy, and social work. CHPS also offers one of UCF’s largest majors, health sciences, as well as popular programs in sport and exercise science within the field of kinesiology. Through coursework, field experience, and inter-professional education, our students develop high-demand skills in healthcare and cultural competency for working with varied populations.

The Opportunity:

The UCF College of Health Professions and Sciences is seeking well-qualified candidates for a Manager, Facilities Operations. This position will serve as the College of Health Professions and Sciences’ Building Manager, managing all aspects related to daily operations of facilities, security, space, and all related areas in the college.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the college’s Building Manager and liaison to ensure normal daily operation in these buildings, developing processes within the college and working closely with individual units to ensure effective operation of facilities and space utilization in the college.

• Manage safety, security, and access operations for buildings and spaces occupied and utilized by the college. Develop, coordinate, and maintain emergency safety plans for buildings and spaces managed by the college.

• Oversee the operation of asset management including equipment, working collaboratively with units to ensure effective processes in managing and tracking assets owned by the college. Manage and coordinate the purchase, installation, moving, and maintenance of equipment in college facilities.

• Manage the daily operation of classrooms and events, and related teaching equipment in buildings managed by the college.

• Implement college and university policies and establish procedures for managing space utilization and maintenance, asset management, room access, and security.

• Manage vendor service contracts and oversee the process for compliance with university requirements and documents for facility usage.

• Assess and manage building repairs and maintenance. Lift heavy objects, and tolerance of dust and related work environments as part of managing space and facilities.

• Represent the college on committees related to the responsibilities associated with this position, and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:

• Significant experience in building management including all aspects of building-related projects, classroom spaces, and facilities.

• Experience in managing facilities and space in higher education settings.

• Excellent organizational skills.
