The Opportunity:
The Property and Inventory Manager position is responsible for maintaining and supporting the SSWB Division's technology workstation life-cycle upgrade and replacement install. Responsibilities included: asset management, inventory control, procurement, surplus disposition, records retention schedule management, emergency response as Critical Personnel, and support functions for various department's needs.
This is an Auxiliary funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.
Responsibilities:
Life-cycle upgrades: Responsible for the effective coordination and scheduling with SSWB Division departments, staff, and locations to plan for the replacement of workstations nearing obsolescence and scheduled end-of-life upgrades, complying with policy requirements for implementing and installing new products.
IT Service Tickets: Generate and manage IT service tickets for technology replacements, ensuring all requests are processed and resolved promptly, including: User Access requests, Technology Product Center Requisition Requests, and Hardware Requests.
Procurement: Collaborate with UCF IT to facilitate the procurement process for new technology products. Negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing and ensure compliance within budgetary constraints. Create Expense Requests, Purchase Orders, and Workday Punch-outs.
Reporting: Maintain an accurate inventory database that documents Division/Department buildings, room numbers, and staff locations to track product's make, model, and serial numbers. Compile, reconcile, and send regular reports on Division status and inventory.
Surplus: Assists SSWB Asset Coordinators for surplus of electronics, equipment, property, and assets, including; disposal, transfers, recycling, donations, trade-ins, and interdepartmental adoption. Works with UCF IT and/or UCF Surplus Property in compliance of life-cycle policies and procedures.
Operation and maintenance of DHRL warehouse facility: Accountable for all inventory, materials, equipment, and supplies received, shipped, delivered, pickup, and stored. Pick up and drop off all requested items. Order supplies and inventory as needed or requested. Responsible for accountability, safety, and organization of warehouse facility. Fleet Management: Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and cleanings internally and with vendors.
Emergency Services: Designated UCF Emergency Management Critical Personnel for the Housing department. Serve on emergency teams to prepare, response to, and aid recovery from emergency and disaster conditions. Mandatory on-call 24/7 with ability to work any shift/schedule during emergency activation.
Events: Serves the Housing department, Division, and University during move in/out operations as assigned. Deliver, set-up, and break down events for the Housing department, Division, and University as assigned.
Other duties as assigned by Direct Supervisor and/or Vice President and/or Director(s) of the Department/Division. Assist on special projects and tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma and 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Ability to build rapport and work as part of a team and work independently with limited oversight.
Familiar with inventory tracking, including ordering, stocking, and receiving parts and equipment.
Experience working or familiar in a university setting.
Familiar with Office 365, including Teams, Outlook, and Excel.
Health Assessment Required:
The UCF policy requires completion and passing of a physical exam for this position.
Special Instructions to the Applicants:
Position requires a valid Class E driver’s license. This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
The selected candidate must become forklift certified within three months of hire. Employer will pay for the certification.
Mandatory schedule during Spring, Summer, and Fall Move-in/out. Mandatory overtime before, during, and after department and campus emergencies or when normal campus operations have been suspended as designated by supervisor or a Housing designer.
