The Opportunity: 

UCF Advancement & Partnerships is looking for a Training Specialist III to build and lead the learning programs that help our staff grow from their first day through their development as managers and leaders.

In this role, you'll shape the division's training strategy, work with subject matter experts to turn their knowledge into clear and engaging content and create learning paths that serve new and experienced employees alike. You'll also guide staff through change, helping teams adopt new tools and processes with confidence.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a division-wide training strategy tied to organizational priorities, partnering with subject matter experts to identify skill gaps, develop content, and build learning opportunities for staff at every level.
• Own the training calendar, internal training resources, and supporting tools that keep professional development moving throughout the year.
• Facilitate onboarding and orientation in partnership with operations leadership and hiring managers, refining the process so new employees get up to speed quickly and feel connected early.
• Design and deliver manager training focused on team leadership and employee growth.
• Build learning tracks and resources for emerging and current leaders, working with division leadership to keep programming aligned with strategic goals.
• Lead communications for organizational and technology changes, tailoring messages for different audiences and creating job aids that support staff through transitions.
• Anticipate training and communication needs ahead of new tool or process rollouts.
• Support training compliance tracking, reporting, and internal communications related to training and departmental change.

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience designing and delivering onboarding programs.
• Experience developing manager or leadership development programs.
• Strong facilitation skills with audiences ranging from new hires to senior leaders.
• Experience tracking training completion and reporting on program outcomes.
• Background in instructional design and adult learning principles.
• Proven ability to partner with subject matter experts to translate complex information into practical training.
• Experience managing a learning management system, intranet content, or similar training platforms.
• Experience supporting change initiatives, including communications and job aids for system or process transitions.
• Experience in higher education, advancement, fundraising or nonprofit settings.
• Degree in education, human resources, organizational development, communications, or a related field.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:

Advancement and Partnerships values the unique contributions that each team member brings to our division. The anticipated salary for a well-qualified candidate is $72,583 - $82,000. The final determination of a successful candidate's starting salary will vary based on several factors, including education and relevant experience. The anticipated pay scale indicated for this position generally applies to candidates who meet the minimum requirements and several of the preferred qualifications outlined above. All offers are contingent on successful background and reference screens.

This role requires the successful candidate to work on-site at UCF as their primary work location. On-site presence is an essential function of this role.
