Responsibilities:

  • Lead visual and front‑end design efforts, using tools like Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Bootstrap, React, and Angular.

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain websites, web applications, integrations, and digital experiences using modern front‑end and back‑end technologies.

  • Create accessible, standards‑based, and scalable code that meets WCAG/508 compliance and supports UCF’s marketing and communications needs.

  • Collaborate with designers, marketers, IT teams, and vendors to plan projects, document processes, and optimize CMS, CRM, and infrastructure systems.

  • Manage and enhance primary web properties, overseeing code quality, structure, SEO, structured data, media, and performance in an agile, collaborative environment.

  • Develop and support APIs and web‑service integrations that connect websites with other data systems and enhance dynamic content delivery.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to micro‑applications, personalized experiences, and AI‑assisted troubleshooting or rapid solutioning.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong visual and front‑end design skills, with proficiency in tools like Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator to create polished, on‑brand interfaces.

  • Background supporting enterprise‑level or customer‑focused websites, ideally within higher education, agency settings, or other regulated industries.

  • Experience working with cloud technologies, such as Azure or AWS, to build or maintain modern web applications, prototypes, or integrations.

  • Commitment to accessibility and usability, including familiarity with WCAG and Section 508 compliance standards.

  • Ability to develop APIs or integrate data‑driven components to support dynamic content and enhance system‑to‑system connections.
