The Opportunity:

University Operations is seeking to hire a Workday Administrator III. This role is responsible for the administration, configuration, optimization, and support of the university's Workday enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform. This role partners with functional and technical stakeholders to enhance business processes, resolve complex system challenges, maintain data integrity, and deliver solutions that improve operational effectiveness. The administrator serves as a subject matter expert within their assigned functional area and provides guidance, training, and support to end users and colleagues.


Classification Title: Cloud ERP Administrator III


Responsibilities:

  • Administer, configure, maintain, and optimize the Workday ERP system within assigned functional areas.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular audits to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with business partners and IT teams to identify, analyze, and resolve system and data-related issues.
  • Coordinate Workday upgrades, testing, and maintenance activities to ensure successful implementation of new functionality and enhancements.
  • Lead and manage projects aimed at improving business processes, operational efficiency, and system effectiveness.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate business needs, recommend solutions, and support governance and prioritization efforts.
  • Document requirements, decisions, configurations, project progress, and support activities within designated work management systems.
  • Develop and maintain complex functional, technical, design, and business process specifications for Workday implementations and enhancements.
  • Provide end-user support, create training materials, and deliver training sessions to ensure effective system utilization.
  • Mentor and guide student apprentices, while providing knowledge sharing and support to colleagues with less experience.
  • Stay informed of Workday capabilities, best practices, and emerging technologies to recommend continuous improvements.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Workday certifications in Benefits, Payroll, HCM, or related functional areas.
  • Experience with Workday Benefits configuration and administration.
  • Experience with Open Enrollment processes, including configuration, testing, deployment, and operational support.
  • Experience supporting Workday in a higher education or similarly complex environment.
  • Experience with data conversion, validation, and migration activities.
  • Experience leading small to medium-sized projects and managing competing priorities.
  • Experience creating documentation, training materials, and process procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience mentoring colleagues and student apprentices.
  • Experience working within change management, incident management, and request management processes.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:

Position requires a valid Class E driver’s license. This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.


The anticipated salary range for this position is $89,076 - $120,000. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations
