UCF Shines with OnCon Icon 2024 Top 50 Talent Acquisition Team Award

The University of Central Florida has proudly secured a spot on the prestigious OnCon Icon 2024 Top 50 Talent Acquisition Team list, marking a significant achievement in the realm of talent acquisition, community impact, and higher education. This recognition, determined through peer and community voting, highlights UCF's commitment to excellence in talent acquisition and recruitment strategies.

What makes this honor particularly noteworthy is that UCF stands alone as the only institution from higher education among a distinguished group that includes corporate giants like Disney, NBCUniversal, Marriott, Procter & Gamble, and PepsiCo. This recognition is not only a testament to UCF’s Talent Acquisition’s innovative approach and hard work, but also positions the university as a leader in a competitive landscape dominated by major corporations.

“We were also the only honoree from higher education in this category. I couldn’t be prouder of this team and their hard work.” - Renée Grigor, Assistant Vice President of Talent Management

This accolade comes just two years after the reorganization of UCF’s Talent Acquisition unit, showcasing the effectiveness of the changes implemented from their industry experience, insight, and dedication to enhance recruitment processes and foster a more inclusive and efficient environment for potential employees.

Voted to the Top Amongst Peers

As mentioned earlier, this award is determined through peer voting, but not before the OnConferences team screens and nominates the candidates. The finalists selected by OnConferences are then made available for public voting. Voters are encouraged to consider several key factors, such as the impact the acquisition team has had on their organization, whether the team has exceeded expectations, and their contributions in areas like thought leadership and innovation, among others. The university’s ability to rise above the competition in such a short timeframe speaks volumes about the dedication and hard work of its team.

As UCF continues to build on this momentum, the OnCon Icon award serves as a testament to its vision for a brighter future in talent acquisition, one that is not only competitive but also committed to fostering diverse and dynamic workplaces. Congratulations to UCF and the Talent Acquisition team for this remarkable achievement!
