The Opportunity:
UCF is seeking a Finance/Budget Analyst I to join our highly motivated and results-driven team within the Facilities and Business Operations (FBO) Construction Accounting department. This position will play a crucial role in managing all financial transactions related to the construction project life cycle. By joining our Construction Accounting team, you will have the opportunity to:

Ensure projects stay on track and within budget, supporting UCF's financial health and future growth.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day construction accounting operations, including reviewing and approving financial transactions related to capital projects such as funding requests, requisitions, journal entries, and invoice payments.
Perform monthly reconciliations between Workday and the eBuilder contract management system, working with the Planning, Design, and Construction team to resolve discrepancies.
Monitor and adjust construction contract balances and funds as necessary.
Support the Planning, Design, and Construction team with construction accounting needs and collaborate with the General Accounting team on asset capitalization and other processes.
Prepare business process documents and provide recommendations for process improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience or combination of relevant comparable education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year of experience in construction accounting, accounting, or finance department.
Ability to operate in multiple systems simultaneously and familiarity with Workday or similar financial system is preferred.
Advanced proficiency in financial analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, charts, and macros.
Previous experience with reconciliations and data analysis.
Proficient in applying logic and reasoning to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of various solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Demonstrated critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a proven track record of collaborating with leaders to resolve financial issues.
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong ability to maintain confidentiality.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

Position requires a valid Class E driver’s license. The position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
