Career Services:
Career Services provides comprehensive career services and programs to assist a diverse student population in developing and implementing career, education, and employment plans through collaborative internal partnerships with UCF administrators, faculty and staff, as well as effective external partnerships with key employers.
This position/classification may be moved at management's discretion within the SSWB division to a commensurate level position as determined by the Vice President of Student Success and Well Being or his/her designee.
The Opportunity:
The UCF Student Success and Well-Being Career Services Department is currently accepting applications for an Academic Support Coordinator I. This role provides support for implementing career-related programs for UCF faculty and staff, student groups, individuals, and other stakeholders. This position will coordinate key operations on the Career Education team including requests for outreach presentations and access to tools, training and development, data analysis, and event logistics. Reports directly to the Faculty Development Specialist. Supports operation of a team that includes an Academic Program Manager, a Faculty Fellow and a Graduate Assistant.
Responsibilities:
Provides support for the Career Education team's faculty facing programs. Under the supervision of the Faculty Development Specialist, this role, along with a Faculty Fellow and a Graduate Assistant, implement career-related programs and delivery systems designed to enhance career development and career competencies within the curriculum.
Supports the delivery of career development programs to include the faculty Classroom to Careers track, Work +, etc.
Provides resources and develops training to maximize the use of technology systems to deliver career services.
Supports the Faculty Development Specialist in the creation of new training materials for faculty.
Coordinates and maintains a depository of resources for faculty, including website and web course materials.
Supports the Faculty Development Specialist in the creation of instructional materials for students.
Responsible for promoting the services and resources of Career Services among stakeholders including faculty, staff, and external partners.
Supports the Faculty Development Specialist in analyzing data and generating semester, semi-annual, and annual reports.
Provides support and training on the uses of Career Services technology platforms and how they can be utilized in a classroom setting.
Organizes and coordinates faculty and staff requests for administrative access to Career Services technology and requests for outreach presentations, including "Don't Cancel That Class."
Supports Career Services events, programs, and initiatives as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information.
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of related experience in career services, academic support, or a comparable student-facing role.
Experience in career services, which may include relevant graduate assistantships or professional roles in related areas.
Experience developing career programs and demonstrated aptitude for organizing programs to include marketing, planning and implementing programs or projects.
Experience using technology in career counseling, including assessment tools, academic and career information systems, job search assistance platforms, social media, presentation development, data management, and reporting tools.
Master’s degree in student personnel, higher education, counselor education, psychology, or a closely related field.

Skills or aptitude for developing and maintaining collaborative relationships; strong interpersonal and team-oriented skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. - Proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders at all levels, including faculty, staff, and students.
Ability to work independently as well as with self-directed teams.

The anticipated hourly rate range for this position is $20.29 - $24.86. The final rate will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
