The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Health Professions and Sciences (CHPS) is home to nationally recognized programs focused on health and wellness ― and a respected faculty dedicated to teaching innovations and research partnerships. The college offers accredited programs in athletic training, communication sciences and disorders, physical therapy, and social work. CHPS also offers one of UCF’s largest majors, health sciences, as well as popular programs in sport and exercise science within the field of kinesiology. Through coursework, field experience, and inter-professional education, our students develop high-demand skills in healthcare and cultural competency for working with varied populations.
The Opportunity:
The UCF College of Health Professions and Sciences School of Social Work is seeking well-qualified candidates for an Administrative Assistant II position. The Administrative Assistant II will provide administrative support primarily for the Master of Social Work (MSW) program.
Responsibilities:
Provide moderately complex administrative support to the MSW program, students, faculty and staff. Act as a program assistant to the MSW Program Director. Arrange and schedule meetings, maintain calendars, assist with the coordination of orientation, job fairs, information sessions and graduation celebrations. Provide similar support to the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program as needed.
Provide administrative support in maintaining data and student records for internal and campus databases and reporting for the MSW and BSW programs. Provide oversight for general day-to-day operations.
Maintain, compile, and analyze program data to provide recommendations that streamline MSW processes. Provide administrative assistance with bookstore communication, catalog and handbook updates and revisions for the MSW program and the BSW program when requested.
Prepare recruitment materials to share on social media and other platforms. Support and assist multiple areas and constituents across various business units. Prepare correspondence and communication materials to assist with student application review and acceptance.
Maintain files and record according to the MSW guidelines. Conduct research to improve MSW program procedures and processes. Assist with new faculty searches.
Other duties as deemed necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with communication and productivity tools (Workday, Microsoft Office 365, Canva, Adobe Creative suite).
Previous administrative experience.
