The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Health Professions and Sciences (CHPS) is home to nationally recognized programs focused on health and wellness ― and a respected faculty dedicated to teaching innovations and research partnerships. The college offers accredited programs in athletic training, communication sciences and disorders, physical therapy, and social work. CHPS also offers one of UCF’s largest majors, health sciences, as well as popular programs in sport and exercise science within the field of kinesiology. Through coursework, field experience, and inter-professional education, our students develop high-demand skills in healthcare and cultural competency for working with varied populations.
The Opportunity:
The UCF College of Health Professions and Sciences School of Social Work is in search of well-qualified candidates for a Admissions Specialist I position. This position will provide support to the Master of Social Work (MSW) program staff with admissions, applicant follow-up, recruiting, orientation, retention activities
Responsibilities:
Provide support to MSW program staff and assist with recruiting, admission, orientation, and retention activities and initiatives for the online and campus based MSW tracks.Provide similar support to the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program as requested.
Assist MSW admission specialist with responding to prospective student inquiries, contacting applicants for outstanding items and preparing applications for review.
Assist with bookstore communication, catalog and handbook updates and revisions for the MSW program when requested.
Prepare recruitment materials to share on social media and other platform.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s degree and 0+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using SLATE.
Experience working in Higher Education, specifically with a state university system.
Experience working with students learning through mixed modalities.
The most successful candidates may possess the following qualities:
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work harmoniously with team members.
