Analytics and Integrated Planning:
The Analytics and Integrated Planning (AIP) division brings expertise in strategic planning, advanced analysis, reporting and institutional research. Its explicit mission is to leverage institutional data with enhanced analytics, thereby empowering robust decision-making across the institution. AIP includes enterprise analytics, data strategy, data governance, data literacy, Workday reporting, and institutional research.
The Opportunity:
UCF Analytics and Integrated Planning seeks applications for a Data Governance Analyst. This Analyst will support and enhance data governance initiatives across the institution. This position will work collaboratively with stakeholders across academic and administrative departments ensuring the quality, consistency, accessibility, and security of institutional data used for decision-making, reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in data governance and a passion for data quality and integrity.
Classification Title: Enterprise Analytics Specialist II
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a centralized data dictionary and metadata repository for institutional data within UCF's Data Governance Cloud Platform.
Support data classification, access controls, and risk management efforts related to institutional data.
Assist in documenting data lineage and supporting data integration and reporting efforts.
Collaborate with data stewards and stakeholders to establish and maintain data definitions, standards, and quality rules.
Support the implementation and monitoring of data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
Create reports and dashboards to visualize data governance metrics and KPIs.
Facilitate data governance working groups and contribute to training and education efforts for data stewards and data users.
Work closely with Institutional Research, IT, Compliance, and other departments to support data-informed decision-making.
Assist in identifying data quality issues and coordinating remediation efforts across functional areas.
Conduct data audits and assessments to ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations.
Other duties as assigned to support the division.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in data governance, data management, institutional research, or a related area.
Demonstrated experience working with data governance tools or platforms.
Experience working within the Informatica Cloud Platform.
Experience with metadata management, data lineage, and cataloging tools.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Familiarity with higher education data systems (e.g., student information systems, learning management systems, ERP systems).
Experience with data privacy regulations and compliance frameworks (e.g., FERPA, GDPR).
Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools (Ex: Tableau, Power BI, SAS).

The anticipated salary range for this position is $76,500 to Negotiable. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
