The Opportunity:
The Director of Access and Student Success will provide leadership for the implementation, strategic direction, and operational effectiveness for student success and student support initiatives. The Director is responsible for overseeing initiatives that enhance access to higher education, support student retention, and foster a sense of belonging through data-informed strategies and collaborative partnerships across campus. The director also leads efforts to assess program effectiveness, secure resources, and advocate for institutional practices that advance student success.
Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Soar Success Program, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities for student retention, academic achievement, and holistic development.
Provide continuous performance and retention monitoring for assigned student populations. Conduct regular reviews of key performance indicators (KPIs) to intervene proactively with personalized support plans.
Develop, implement, and manage programs that promote student achievement, engagement, and well-being, fostering a holistic approach to student success.
Hire, train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.
Collaborate with campus departments, faculty, staff, and community partners to align student success initiatives with institutional goals and priorities.
Develop, implement, and assess programs and strategies designed to enhance student retention, persistence, and graduation rates. Assure services are aligned with the overall UCF strategic plan and goals.
Develop and oversee the budget for access and student success.
Serve as campus co-liaison for Network Champion designation.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's and 8+ years of relevant experience or Masters degree and 6+ years of relevant experience with at least 3+ year(s) of leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Experience with strategic leadership & vision.
Ability to thrive in collaborative environments, fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
Experience building and assessing student programs.
Experience with student and performance retention monitoring.
Special Instructions to the Applicants:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $64,518- $72,000. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
